Why?
The demands to feed our world continue to grow. The need to spark exponential growth to meet that demand is real. At a time when our people power is not at its peak, we need to fuel up, break through silos and build bridges to collaborate and communicate like never before.
Crystal started her career bridging the gaps between farmers and consumers. As she gained experience with several groundbreaking coalition efforts, she realized the gaps were also sizable between food system stakeholders, across sectors, and even within organizations.
Today, she is taking her message to the stage with her unique ability to share a vision, actionable insights, and get audiences to roll up their sleeves to make it happen – all with a smile!

Inspiring Growth in Agri-Food - from Barns to Boardrooms
Crystal is a pioneer in communications and collaboration in agriculture and food. She has created many award-winning farm-to-fork efforts for many audiences - from students to CEOs to the late Queen Elizabeth herself.
She has an impressive track record for collaborating and connecting and has given over 1000 presentations around the globe. Crystal is a results-driven leader who helped vision and build two non-profit organizations with a whole food system approach to earning public trust in food, Farm & Food Care and the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity. She created her own company, LOFT32 in 2019 to help elevate people and businesses in agri-food.
Mackay has received many accolades for her excellence and commitment to communications, agriculture, and food, including Most Influential Woman in Canadian Agriculture, Canadian Agri-Food Marketer’s Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award, and the University of Guelph Medal of Achievement. She has served on Boards of Directors for many respected groups and continues to support several youth mentorship programs. Crystal cheers her two teenagers on in life and sports, and loves to play hockey whenever she gets the chance!
